	NOAA Fisheries Service Gear Research
	The Gear Research Team within the Northeast Region's Protected Resources Division conducts gear research in collaboration with the fishing industry to support the ALWTRP through the development of ideas and techniques to reduce entanglement risk to large whales due to interactions with commercial fishing gear.
